Root Canals
Treating Pain at the Source
Most people are surprised to learn that modern root canal treatment can comfortably ease the source of your chronic tooth pain. Thanks to the effectiveness of the numbing medication, you don’t have to worry about any discomfort. Since the nerve of the tooth is effectively removed, the tooth will no longer be able to feel any sensitivity.
What to Expect
Most endodontic treatments require three visits about two weeks apart. Since teeth typically have between 1-3 roots, the length of each appointment can vary. The tooth is numbed during each prep visit so that the only thing you’ll feel is a bit of pressure.
After your final treatment, a crown is placed over the tooth to allow you to bite and chew with it normally. The crown protects the weaker, non-vital tooth underneath (since the nerve tissues have been removed).
Are Root Canals Expensive?
Preserving your tooth with a root canal is a cost-effective way to invest in your smile’s health. Many people have a perception that endodontic treatment is expensive. However, we will make sure that you know about the costs involved ahead of time. Payment plans are available so that you can move forward with treatment without having to worry about the bill.
